Katie Spiropoulos

Originally from Oklahoma City, Katie has been performing since she was three years old. She grew up studying at the Oklahoma City Ballet School and Greek dancing at the local festival each fall. After years of dance, Katie discovered her love of theater in her third-grade musical tackling the role of Long “Jean” Silver in Treasure Island. From then on, she was hooked.
Katie graduated from Casady School in 2022, where she participated in every school production available, as well as at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma. In her free time, she explored OKC, always on the hunt for niche concerts and new plays where she could drag her non-theater friends along.
She went on to pursue her passion for theater and policy/advocacy at Tufts University, where she is a rising senior studying International Relations and Theater, Dance, & Performance Studies.
At Tufts, Katie has continued to branch out as a theatermaker, working as a Stage Manager, Costume Designer, and Producer, alongside acting. In addition to being president of Torn Ticket II–Tufts only student run musical theater group–Katie is also a member of the Local Bards Players, the Tufts Model UN team, and writes for the Tufts Daily. She believes the arts are a key pathway towards powerful, inclusive, and productive conversation, and at Tufts she has concentrated on deepening the overlaps between theater and social impact.
She recently finished a semester at the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, where she earned her certificate of completion for the National Music Theater Institute. Throughout her time at the O’Neill, Katie received not only incredible, intensive training as a performer, but was exposed to what it means to make a life, not just a career, in the theater.
Katie is committed to diversifying the American Theater and works to uplift different voices and stories in everything she does. At her core, Katie is a theater nerd who wants to keep immersing herself in this art form she loves so much by telling stories that can change the world.
